At American Lantern, each individual lantern and lamp is
produced by hand. Metalsmithing and hand skills hardly
used in 21st century America, are still implemented in my
metal shop.
I cut, shape, form and solder each light meticulously,
right down to the tiniest of details. Most of the lights
I produce are reproductions of lights I see in my travels
throughout history rich New England and some are of my own
creation.
Most of the lights are of 18th century origin, but look
fabulous in a contemporary setting.
